I am 15 month old now. I think I have grown a tad bit taller, but no muscles yet. I can say a few things…act out a few things…overall, folks are impressed.

Nitya-didi….gonna miss you

Posted in Uncategorized on April 2, 2010 by shivampande

She is moving to India (Bangalore). Gonna miss her that’s for sure. She was a sweet big sister. Dad and mom are also unhappy because Meera aunty and her family are moving back to India. All the best to them!!

Maaaaaaaaaa- my first words

Posted in Uncategorized on March 31, 2010 by shivampande

So, ya I learnt to say Ma- atleast that’s the word that my parents acknowledged. They totally disregard all the other stuffs I tell them throughout the day- they look at me with dismissal and say, sorry don’t know that language. Well, so learn, how hard can it be- comm’on, I am 14 month old and I am fluent. huh!!!! Looks like, I will have to make an effort to learn this adult language. I started with Ma and can repeat the sounds of some others-like ball is “ba”, cow is “moo”, dog is “boo”, vacuum is “yacum”…not bad eh!!!

Wondering where I vanished- well got mowed down by a viral curse

Posted in Uncategorized on March 31, 2010 by shivampande

Got slammed by this new virus- gave me high fever and a nagging and annoying cough. Couldn’t eat or sleep for days. Just when I thought, I am free now to go on an exploring and plundering mission around the house- bam it hit me, stupid virus!!!

A big thanks to those who discovered antibiotics and tylenol- two drugs that I think the researchers deserve Noble prizes for (maybe they did, will check in the GK books). Rambling- oh yeah, that’s the drugs.

Good news, I am recovering. Bad news, the weather just turned bad. Its cold in April, can you believe it?

The cast is off

Posted in Uncategorized on March 23, 2010 by shivampande

Finally, they took off the cast. Gotta say, it was scary when they came with the saw and started cutting the thing. My hand was so stiff afterwards, it took me a while to adjust to my life without it. But after 24hrs, I finally started enjoying a schackle free life. Endless messmaking and mischiefs awaiting.

I am a good roommate…I do the dishes

Posted in Uncategorized on March 23, 2010 by shivampande

So what I am only 14 month old, I know my duties. So, as a good roommate and a concerned family member, I do my part everyday by helping my parents in emptying the dishwasher. Too bad, I am too short to reach inside the machine and too small to do any heavy lifting, but I can definitely empty the silverware basket. Needless to say, Ma is superproud to have a son who works equally hard around the house.

Lucky me, because of this one little effort, I am excused from cleaning all of my mess. Papa says, enjoy till you can buddy, because once you hit year 5 we will make you clean up your own mess. Well till then, I own the house…so I have got my toys scattered everywhere……haha hahaha…wink wink!!!

Happy feet

Posted in Uncategorized on March 23, 2010 by shivampande

I  have picked up a new dance step. Sort of like tap dancing. Mom and Dad call it the Happy Feet dance…apparently, its a dance performed by an young penguin in a movie by the same name. Tap tap tap…..

My First Pizza

Ummm all those cheese………….loved it. Went to Pizza hut with Sanjana and family and had my first ever pizza…..Sanju tells me, kid’s birthday parties always have pizzas in their menu….looks like growing up will be “cheese-some”.

One more day in shackles………UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Posted in Uncategorized on March 14, 2010 by shivampande

that’s how I literally feel with this cast on my hand. Its like someone has shackled my right arm. 7 more days to go before I am free again.

What!!!!! Its broken?

Posted in Uncategorized on March 13, 2010 by shivampande

That’s what my Ma shrieked when the doctor told her, that looks like I have fractured my finger after the fall. Actually, the Xray confirmed it and my parents were aghast. I had no idea what hit me till they wrapped my hand in a giant cast. Oh my god!!!! This is ridiculous….how am I supposed to play. Its like you brought out the canon to blow away a mosquito. Why the whole hand? Can’t you just wrap my finger- I mean that’s the only part that’s broken. My Dad read my mind and he kept urging the doctor to find something smaller. But the doctor put on a serious face and said “that’s our only option”. Here I am stuck with a hand on the sling for the next 10 days. This is irritating to say the least……..*%&*###+&& (I can think of so many expletives now).
